Will be held for each grade directly after your game, please move promptly to the information point (by the rugby club) for prize giving. The winner of the grade will be announced along with each teams MVP and MIP.
Coaches/managers please come and see me after prize giving to get the goodie bags for your team members.

Year 2 and 3 @ 4.45pm
Year 4 and 5 @ 5.20pm
Year 6 and 7 @ 5.50pm
Year 8 and 9 @ 6.25pm

WHEN: Monday 27 March 2017
WHERE: Ruapuna Raceway
AGE: As at 1 January 2017. Children must be 9 years old or over OR in year 5. (limited to 10 children in each age group)
DISTANCES: 9 & 10 Years: Run 2 km, Bike 6k, Run 1k.
11 & 12 Years: Run 2km, Bike 9k, Run 1k.
Individual entries only…no team events.
TIME: 8am – 12.30pm (approximate race times not available at this time)
BRIEFING: All competitors must report in and attend the race briefing @ 9.15am at Ruapuna
BRING: Bike, suitable running shoes, water bottles, hats, sunblock, warm clothing, NZ safety standards approved helmet (clearly name it please). Please ensure all long hair is tied back.
UNIFORM: Your child will need to wear their school Sports top with suitable running and cycle shorts, suitable socks and shoes, helmet, bike.
(Bikes must be well maintained and suitable for riding this distance as this is the Canterbury Duathlon. BMX or small children’s bikes are not suitable)
BIKES: Bikes must be left in transition until ALL competitors in all age groups have finished their races. Failure to do this, may result in disqualification.
SPECTATORS: Please stay in spectators’ areas. Participants only are allowed on the track. Assistance other than from race officials and medical personnel will result in disqualification. No drinks are to be given during the race.
ROAD RULES: All road rules and marshal’s instructions must be observed. The course will be well marshalled and marked. A car will follow the last runner. RESULTS: Will be on the following website the day after the event www.primarysportscanterbury.org.nz.
CANCELLATION: Will be on above website. No cancellation date. Will not be cancelled unless the weather conditions are extreme.
